Here are some of Jeff's recent projects.

mjdecorations > Basement job. This was an unfinished basement with cement floor to start. I put in Dri-Core on the floor, stud walls, insulation, sheet-rock, and a suspended ceiling. I made a small closet around the utilities in the corner. In this picture, the Dri-Core is on the floor, vapor barrier and some studs in place and insulation above the studs and on top of the cement basement wall.

mjdecorations > Basement Project Before- Unfinished wall with vapor barrier and some studs in place. Note the unfinished storage area below the stairs. The sub-floor here is DRI-core over the cement floor. It is about 1 inch thick, which saves ceiling height, and has a built-in vapor barrier.

mjdecorations > Basement Project After - Finished and painted sheet-rock walls, suspended ceiling, and finished floor. Note the hidden storage below the stairs. The carpet has been installed over the "DRI-core". You can see the edge of the door in the corner which encloses the utilities. The lally-columns and support beams are boxed in to give it a finished look.

mjdecorations > Basement project - this view is the other side of the basement from the utilities. I put in a wall below the carrying beam and around the lally-columns (see the red post inside the wall). This inner room became a small office or storage room. The blue tape on the floor marks the swing of a door that will be installed later.

mjdecorations > Basement Job - floor and walls in place, the ceiling is not in yet, same orientation as previous picture. Lally-column is hidden in the wall just behind the door hinges. This door is a pre-hung molded masonite door. Since this was new construction, I used a "pre-hung" door that comes with the hinges and casings.

mjdecorations > Same orientation as previous couple of pictures. Carpet is in place. The bigger door goes to the new small office and the door visible to the right goes into a small bathroom. Note the boxed-in lally column to the left.

mjdecorations > Bathroom job. This is "before". Typical cast-iron tub and tiled floor. We knew the floor around the toilet was soft but we didn't know at this point that the toilet had leaked for a long time and the tub drain-pipe was completely perforated. The old plywood floor under the tub had delaminated.
